Edna Maude MacKenzie
1936-2020
Edna Maude MacKenzie – 83, North River,
passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 15, 2020, at Aberdeen
Hospital, New Glasgow. Born Moser River, she was a daughter of the
late Walter and Lucinda (Sharpe) Naugler.
Edna worked at Stanfield’s for
many years. She loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren,
talking and catching up with her family and friends and had a huge
soft spot in her heart for animals.
Edna is survived her sons, Phillip (Nancy),
Upper North River; Wayne, North River; daughter, Patricia Jollymore
(James LeBlanc), Stellarton; grandchildren, Michelle Jollymore (Angus
Sampson), Adam (Kelsey) MacKenzie, Megan (Brad) Parker; great
grandchildren, Addisyn MacKenzie and Brinley MacKenzie; siblings, Ian
Naugler, North River; Elmer Naugler, Sheet Harbour; Margaret Rutledge,
New Glasgow; Isabel (Wendell) Carter, North River; George (Ruth)
Naugler, Truro; several nieces and nephews. Along with her parents,
she was predeceased by her husband, John Robert “Bobby”
MacKenzie; sisters-in-law, Jessie Naugler, Barbara Naugler;
brother-in-law, Laurie Rutledge.
Special thanks to the Medical Day Unit at
Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro for your outstanding care;
she always looked forward to seeing you!
Graveside service will be held in Blackmore
Memorial Cemetery, Upper North River. If so desired, donations in
Edna’s memory to Colchester SPCA are welcomed.
