Obituary of Edmond Mainville
It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our father with love ones by his side at the Montfort Hospital, Ottawa, Ontario on Saturday March 21st, 2020 at the age of 74.
Edmond Mainville of Allumette Island, Québec was the beloved husband of Pierrette Mainville (nee Chaput). Loved and cherished father of Paulette, late Patrick, Leo (Tracy), Jeannette (Pierre), Mireille Mainville (Paul), Angèle (Eric), Éric (Danyka).
Proud and dearly loved grandpa of Amanda and Natacha Mainville, Daniel, Arabelle, and Emanuel Lair, Hunter and Brooke Mainville, Adaline and Emmett O’Connor. Loving son of the late Orance Mainville and the late Alice Lafrance. Dear brother of Toussaint (Françoise), Orance (Christiane), Carmel Chartrand (Edmond), late Louise (Russell Roy and Micheline), Rolline Larocque (late Lucien), Émile (Claudette), Bernadette Scheuneman (late Lawrence), Antoinette Mainville (late Ronald), Robert (Mary), and André (Theresa). Fondly remembered by numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at a later date to be announced.
Edmond was a devoted farmer and well driller. He was always talking about what was next to do on the farm and took great joy in sharing his knowledge about well drilling. As one of our most fond memories with our father is doing puzzles together, when possible we ask that you gather around with your family and work on a puzzle in his memory and create wonderful memories for your own family. Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada would be appreciated.
