Ruest, Edmond Arthur “Ed”
After a brief illness, Ed passed away peacefully on July 25, 2020 in his 84th year. Ed was born on September 14, 1936 to loving parents Adrian and Marie (Lapierre). Beloved husband for 57 years to Mary Lazenby. Loving father of John (Becky), Cindy (Chris) and Paul (Johanne). Proud “Papa” to Andrew, Jordan, Nick, Jake, Samantha, Matthew, Eric and Great “Papa” to Melody. Dear brother of Douglas (late Joyce) and predeceased by sisters Blanche (Lorenzo) and Belle (Mac). Ed will be fondly remembered by his colleagues in the Ottawa construction industry, in which he continued to work in until late last year. A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, August 1, 2020 at St. Augustine Catholic Church, 1060 Baseline Rd., Ottawa at 11:00 a.m. Due to COVID restrictions, seating for the service is limited, to reserve a seat please call 613-726-0292.  Please note that due to current COVID-19 regulations all those attending the service will have to wear a mask.
