SHERRY, Eddie Lawrence
Eddie was born November 8, 1936 in Vegreville, Alberta and passed away in Edmonton on Wednesday, September 9, 2020.
Eddie’s passion in life was his family and architecture. His beautiful designs and buildings have been built in countries of Germany, Russia, United States and Western Canada. His most memorable designs were the Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church in Vegreville, Alberta Eddie’s eldest grandchild was the first child to be baptized in the church; also Lake Havasu City Aquatic Centre in Lake Havasu City, Arizona, USA. Eddie thrived as he worked for his own company Camred Architecture.
Eddie leaves to mourn his precious great grandchildren Preston Michael, Ava Charlotte and Sophie Siena; grandchildren Alexandra, Aisha (Jacob), Anthony and Nicholas; his children Dr. Rhonda Sherry, Robert, Ramona, and his loving wife Evelyn.
A Private Divine Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held at the Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church in Vegreville, Alberta with Father Jim Nakonechny officiating. Interment to follow in St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Church Cemetery at Borschiw.
The Sherry family extends a sincere thank you to all staff of the Palliative Care Unit 43 at the Grey Nuns Hospital who cared for Eddie in such a special way. Due to AHS guidelines the funeral is by invitation only.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the “Alberta Cancer Foundation c/o Cross Cancer Institute – Edmonton, AB.”
