Obituary
Edward Allan Williams of Neepawa, Manitoba passed away March 13th, 2020 at Neepawa Memorial Hospital at the age of 69 after a courageous battle with cancer and without losing his kind nature throughout.
In his childhood Ed was an avid athlete, involved in hockey and baseball throughout his childhood. During early adulthood he played with the Neepawa Cubs, The Neepawa Natives and also quarterbacked the Neepawa High School football team, where he made lifelong friends and met the love of his life and best friend of 42 years Gwen. Ed then followed in his father’s footsteps as he continued to run the family business Williams’ Tom Boy. Ed and Gwen then had two sons, Blake and Mark who Ed passed on his athletic interest as they both enjoyed baseball, hockey, football, golf just like their father. Later on in life Ed worked for years at Touchwood where he made many new friends, and worked there in to retirement. During his retirement Ed loved traveling, taking care of his garden, reading, playing games and puzzles, and gained a new love for their new dog Sadie. Throughout his entire life Ed was a kind and easy going man, a true gentlemen and never lost his positive outlook on life.
He was survived by his loving wife Gwen Williams (nee Moore), his two sons Blake (Kendall) and Mark Williams, his sister Jan (Wayne) Lamon, mother-in-law Irene Moore and sister-in-law Sherry James. He was a much loved uncle to his nieces and nephews Mary Clare Lamon, Kira Williams, Jennifer (Darcy) Meloney, and David (Sheena) Reiner and many other loving extended family members. He was predeceased by his father Reg Williams, mother Gertrude Williams, his brother Rob Williams, and his father-in-law Bob Moore.
Due to the recent Covid 19 Pandemic and the recommendation of Provincial and Federal Governments about crowd size, the family regretfully must change the service to a Private Family Service.
