Obituary
It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Joseph Edward Boucher which occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Saturday, February 8th, 2020. Born 1928, in Saint John, he was the son of the late Joseph and Lottie (Wilson) Boucher. Ed worked as a Carpenter for Rocca Construction, Galbraith Construction and Paul & Bruce Martin Construction. He was a member of the Carpenters Union Local 1386 and he loved gardening.
Ed is survived by his loving and devoted wife Irene (Totten) of Saint John; step-sons Steven Totten (Doreen) of Grove Hill, Leonard Totten of Grove Hill, Daniel Totten (Brenda) of Alberta, Phillip Totten (Marie) of Ottawa; step-daughters Susan Moore (Mike) of Grove Hill, Anna Cannon (Joseph) of Willow Grove, Audrey Craft (Norman) of Grove Hill; brother Ronald Boucher of Saint John; aunts Martha Wade of Tracadie, Sheila and Eldridge Wilson of Miscou Island; as well as several step-grandchildren, step-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends. Besides his parents, Ed was predeceased by his first wife Rebecca, brothers Leo, Percy and Robert and sister Iris.
Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) with visitation being held on Wednesday, February 12th from 2 to 4 p.m. Donations in memory of Ed may be made to The Heart & Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
