Obituary of E. Freeman Burton
Passed peacefully away at Carbonear General Hospital on Thursday, May 21, 2020, E. Freeman Burton of Harbour Grace; formerly of Harbour Buffett, age 98 years. WWII Royal Navy Veteran.
Predeceased by parents: William and Rachel Anne; brothers: Stanley, Aubrey, Albert, Louis, and Charles; sisters: Edna and Eliza.
Leaving to mourn, his wife of 67 years: Ethel; one daughter: Yvonne (Rod) Sheppard, Harbour Grace; two sons: Harold, Logy Bay and John (Annette), Salmon Cove; six grandchildren: Jennifer (Todd), John (Denise), Luke, Zac, Ryan, and Tyler (Ashley); four great-grandchildren: Mya, Madison, Sophie, and Peyton; one brother: Donald (Pearl), Fortune; one sister: Evelyn Dicks, St. John’s; brother-in-law: James (Marie) Dicks, Harbour Grace; also a large number of other relatives and friends.
Due to the current pandemic, there will be no visitation or funeral service. A private inurnment will be held in St. Paul’s Anglican Cemetery, Harbour Grace.
