Obituary of Douglas Stuart Crawford
Douglas Stuart Crawford
“Dougie”
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the unexpected passing of Douglas Stuart Crawford on Monday, July 6, 2020 in his 50th year. Doug will be sadly missed by his loving parents Stuart and Mary Crawford, as well as many extended family members.
Doug was a man of many talents and a master of them all. When you needed help with anything, he knew exactly how to do it and was happy to help. His greatest passion though was his music, jamming with friends, guitar in hand. Doug had many friends throughout his life, many who are still close with him today. He will be forever missed by all whose lives he touched.
Family and friends will be received on Friday, July 10, 2020 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the James Reid Funeral Home, 1900 John Counter Blvd., Kingston. Due to COVID restrictions all attendees must RSVP directly to the James Reid Funeral Home by phone (613-544-3411) on Thursday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. to obtain a time to see the family on Friday. There will be no attending without a confirmed time. Mandatory COVID-19 protocols will also be in effect including physical distancing outside and inside the funeral home and wearing of face masks will be required. Should you not have a mask, one will be supplied for you by the funeral home. A private graveside service will be held at Cataraqui Cemetery. For those who wish, donations in Doug’s memory may be made to the Joe Chithalen Memorial Musical Lending Library or the Canadian Cancer Society.
“Dougie until we jam again keep playing your tunes for your biggest fans in the sky!”
Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Douglas
