Death notice for the town of: Cambridge, Province: Ontario
So sad to hear of Doug’s passing. I worked with him for many years in the Cambridge plant. He was always smiling. You just knew he was a happy man. By chance I ran into him last year at Churchill Park after riding in the Tour de Grand. He was walking with Zackary in the stroller. We talked and he said how he was enjoying retirement. He was quite pleased with his grandson as well. Sad to see you go Doug. My condolences to Donna and family
Donna… Laura… Megan.. and the rest of the family. I am Joan… I worked with Doug for many years at Toyota.. He was my partner for ten years or so in SQA and I never ever had a better or nicer partner than Doug. He was a fabulous auditor and was well-respected by everyone he worked with. He also liked a good belly laugh once in awhile! I used to tease him because he was younger than the rest of us.. and the only one who still had a very good memory!
I have met you a couple of times, Donna, and I actually bought a sofa from you a long time ago. I have heard so many stories about Laura and Megan and their lives.. your dad really loved you a lot and I feel like I know all of you from the stories he told!
I have your address and I will send you a few pictures of Doug and the team he worked with…( I hope you don’t mind) just so you can have them for your collection…
So sorry for your loss.. I know you will someday soon find comfort in the many good memories you have of your husband and father…

SQA Auditor (worked with Doug)
I knew Doug just in passing for many years at Toyota. If I was only allowed one comment about Doug, I would say that he was a true gentleman,Something that our society is lacking. My sincerest condolences to the family. We lost a good one here.Till we meet again!
Sincerely,
Len Gilbert
