It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Douglas James Frank on Monday, October 26, 2020 at the age of 57 years. Doug will be lovingly remembered by his children Jenna (Chris), Leah (Nikolay), Alyssa (Kyle); his granddaughter Braeya whom he adored; his siblings Denise, Donna, Wanda, Michael (Shellie), Melinda, Audrey (Rod), Cynthia (Brent); and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Doug was predeceased by his parents Albert and Elizabeth and his brother Mark.
Doug was born and raised on his family farm north of Cupar, SK. He had eight siblings and numerous cousins who he always loved spending time with, playing cards, listening to music or just adventuring around the farm. Doug also always enjoyed lending a helping hand with the duties around the farm.
In his early years Doug was known for his passion for athletics and involvement in many sports. He especially loved baseball and hockey and was well known for his pitching skills. When he moved to the city he joined the local bowling league of which he was involved with for many years.
His dedication and passion for carpentry led him to many years of success with his construction companies D. Frank Construction and JLA Windows and Doors in Regina, SK.
He had three daughters who he loved and was so proud of all their accomplishments. When they were younger he always enjoyed spending summers with them camping. Through the girls middle years he always loved watching them play softball. As they grew up Doug gave them their first job in the office of JLA Windows and Doors which he had named after them.
Doug was generally a man of few words but he never forgot to let you know how much he loved you and always enjoyed a good chat, catching up with friends and family. He will be lovingly remembered for his kind soul and big heart and his willingness to help out everyone else before his own needs. Doug will be missed by so many.
Due to current Saskatchewan restrictions a Celebration of Doug’s Life will be held at a later date next year.
