With family at her side, and in her 100th year, Dorothy died at the Queensway Carleton Hospital on Friday, January 24th, 2020. Daughter of the late Rowland Charles Rous and Elsie Mae (nee Langley). Predeceased by her first husband Joseph Daniel Ernest Lynch and her second husband Cecil John Jessiman. Loving mother of Patricia Elaine Turcotte (Ron), Blanche Nora Dunn (Chris) and Rowland “Rollie” Charles Lynch (Jill). Survived by her stepsons Glenn Jessiman and Barry Jessiman (Marika). Proud grandmother of Sheila Spence (Dave), Christine Kemp (Bob), Teresa Corey (Chris), Paul Clark (Melanie) and Jonathan Dunn; great-grandmother of Jordan, Joshua, Talia, Emma, Finn, Athena and Xander. Predeceased by her siblings; Elsie McBurnie (Boyde), Margaret, Nora Sharp (Marshal), Marjorie, Blanche Lawrence (Harry), Joyce, Rowland and Aileen; survived by sister-in-law Joan Rous (nee Moor). In lieu of flowers donations in Dorothy’s memory may be made to a charity of your choice. Memorial visitation will be held at the
Garden Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes
3440 Richmond Rd, Ottawa (between Bayshore and Baseline Rd.)
on Friday, January 31st, 2020 at 1 p.m., followed by a service in the chapel at 2 p.m. Reception to follow. Interment will take place on her 100th birthday at Beechwood Cemetery in June. Condolences, tributes and donations may be made at www.tubmanfuneralhomes.com
