Obituary
The family sadly announces the peaceful passage to heaven of Dorothy Tarr nee Rimmer on Friday, November 13, 2020. She was 96 years old.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband Victor John Tarr. Left to cherish her memory are her son Ian Keith Tarr and wife Beverly of Edson, Alberta, her daughter Gail Downey Roser and husband Neto from Harlingen, Texas, her grandsons Lee Tarr and wife Nicole from Edson, Alberta and Bradley Tarr from Grand Prairie, Alberta, as well as many relatives, friends and family pets.
Dorothy was born May 1, 1924 in Birkenhead, Cheshire, England to Dolly and Jack Rimmer. In 1945 Dorothy married Victor and later came to Canada as a War Bride. They lived in Nipawin, Prince Albert and later Saskatoon. Dorothy worked at Sears for over 30 years. Later in life they enjoyed traveling to many different countries and were winter visitors to Texas and Arizona. Dorothy enjoyed needlepoint, knitting and meeting friends for coffee after exercise class.
The family would like to thank the staff of Edson Continuing Care Unit for their excellent and professional care of Dorothy over the years.
The family will be planning a memorial service at a later date in Saskatoon at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
