Dorothy Knappett 2020

It is with great sadness that the family announces the death of their mother Dorothy Knappett who passed away peacefully in her sleep at the age of 91 at Sumac Lodge, Sarnia Ontario on November 1st, 2020. Mom was pre-deceased by her loving husband Herbert Lloyd Knappett and parents Harry Edwin James and Dorothy Kate Nott (nee Cheeseman). Survived by her children David James (Sri (Chichi), nee Rejeki) of Calgary Alberta; Mary-Jo (John Lockhart) of Grand Bend; Jeffrey Lloyd (Christine, nee Brown) of Belleville and Stephen John of Kitchener. Loving grandmother to Kasandra, Kalysta, Angelo and Carleigh.
Mom worked at Bendix in her younger years before dedicating herself to her family. As a part of her retirement mom worked part time in the Lab at Grace Hospital and was a long standing volunteer with Meals on Wheels. She enjoyed golf and was an avid walker and card player with her many friends in the Windsor area. Mom was an active member of the congregation at St. Mathews Anglican Church.
The family extends their sincerest thanks and appreciation to all first responders, care providers and friends who provided support, care, and compassion to her.
Dorothy will be laid to rest at Heavenly Rest Cemetery alongside her husband at a private family service. In lieu of flowers, donations to Meals on Wheels will be appreciated.
