June 21, 1926 – August 23, 2020
Dorothy Kathleen (Dowe) Jones of Woodstock, NB passed away on Sunday, August 23, 2020 at the Upper River Valley Hospital. Born at Bible Hill, NS on June 21, 1926. Her parents were Roy Burton & Olive Myrtle (Martin) Dowe.
Survived by her husband of 69 years, Peter Jones. Children, Kelli Lundbohm (Gerald) and Terry Jones (Nora-Lynn). Grandchildren, Alissa Stokoe (Tim Melanson), Alanna Lundbohm (Jason MacLean), Brendan Jones (Katherine) and Cameron Jones. One sister, Eileen Kelley. Nieces and Nephews.
Besides her parents she is predeceased by Brother Russell Dowe (Marjorie), brother-in-law Orville Kelley.
Over the years she enjoyed camping, reading, puzzles and going for long walks. She faithfully attended the Woodstock Baptist Church and was a member of the Jean Quigg Rushton Mission Circle. She was “famous” for her doughnuts, chocolate chip cookies and mocha cakes which were requested by family and friends every chance they could.
A private Grave side service will be held at the Woodstock Rural Cemetery with Rev. Robert Jones officiating.
Donations in her memory may be made to the Woodstock Baptist Building Fund.
