Dorothy Isobel McNair

Obituary
McNair (Jones), Dorothy Isobel
Age 99, passed peacefully. Predeceased by husband Donald McNair (2013) and son Victor McNair, (2007). Born in Northampton England, 1920, to Ivor and Sybilla Jones. Dorothy was very proud of her Welsh heritage and immigrated to Canada as a child in 1923 settling in Windsor. She made many trips back to Wales throughout her life including four by ship before the age of 18. In 1947 she married Donald and shared 67 years of marriage with him. Dorothy enjoyed art, gardening and nature. She is survived by her son David and daughter in law Kimberly, her granddaughter Rebecca Hallisy and two great grandsons Blake and Bryce, her sister in law Betty Ireland and her daughter in law Virginia. Her sense of humour as well as her quiet personality will be missed by those who knew her and adored her, especially David and Kim. Thanks to staff at Riverside Place (Peche Island Area) for your excellent support and care over the last two and a half years. Your compassion and help with her was extraordinary. A private family service burial will take place on Monday, March 23, 2020. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Salvation Army are appreciated. Due to the health unit’s recommendation of no more than 50 people, the visitation and funeral services will be held private. Arrangements entrusted to WINDSOR CHAPEL (Banwell Chapel).
