1939-2019
Graham: Dorothy,
age 80, of
Valley, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 30, 2019, at the
Colchester East Hants Health Centre Truro. Dorothy was born in
Lankashire, England. She was a self-employed restaurant owner for many
years, and after her retirement she cooked for many other restaurants
in the Truro area. She was a loving mother and grandmother who thought
the world of her family. She was a generous, kind and selfless lady
who always looked after others before herself. A funny and witty lady
and loved her morning tea on her porch. She was a member of bowling
leagues for many years up until she was unable, as she loved the
sport, and also loved going to the casino. She is survived by her
sons, Gordon (Angela), Hilden, Darrell Jr. (Angela), Chilliwack, BC,
Paul (Sandra), Greenfield; grandchildren, Nathan, Tanner, Kynslee,
Brandon, Emma; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her
husband, Darrell Ernest Blair Graham Sr.; several sisters and
brothers. Private family interment will be held at a later date in the
Bible Hill Cemetery, Bible Hill. If so desired, donations in
Dorothy’s memory may be made to the Truro SPCA.
Dorothy’s family would like to thank the staff at the
C.E.H.H.C. Truro Palliative Care. Also an extended thank you to Margo
for her long-time friendship and caring endless love and support to
Dorothy, the children and grandchildren. Arrangements have been
entrusted to the Mattatall ~ Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street
