La célébration de
Dorothy Evelyn Reid (nee Colbeck)
4 mars 1916 –
10 février 2020
An exceptional soul, Dorothy left us peacefully on February 10, 2020 at the remarkable age of 103. Born in Montreal on March 4, 1916, she was predeceased by Doug, her beloved husband of 38 years.
A devoted mother, grandmother and aunt, Dorothy possessed the gift of connection and made many friends at all stages of her life. Always present in the lives of loved ones, she provided a happy home for her husband and children while maintaining many long term relationships with friends near and far. She will remain a source of inspiration to us all.
Her children Donna (Denis Proulx) and Donald (Colleen Connolly) and grandchildren Jessica and Daniel Reid (Gabrielle Fernet) and Simon Proulx ( Marie-Pier Chabot) and extended family will remember her with great affection.
The family will receive condolences at the Belvedere Funeral Complex in Senneville Quebec on Friday February 28 from 10:30 until 11.30 followed by a memorial service and reception.
We would like to convey our deep appreciation to the 4th floor staff at CHSLD Bayview for the warmth and kindness they showed during the final years of Dorothy’s life.
To honour Dorothy’s memory, a gift to the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
