Our precious mother, Dorothy Ethel (Jones) Conrod, passed away
peacefully
on Tuesday, November 10th, 2020 at Dartmouth General Hospital.
Born in Halifax she was a daughter of the late Arthur & Sarah (Newport)
Jones. She was predeceased by her husband Lorne.
Dorothy filled her home with love, faith and joy. She devoted her life to
family and will be greatly missed. Dorothy was a long-standing member
of The Church of the Good Shepherd and recently Cole Harbour Woodside
United Church.
Dorothy left school early to help support the family. Later she became
a colour artist with the Atlantic Photo Supply. She loved her hymns and
bible study. Dorothy always enjoyed a good game of cards.
Dorothy was a loving wife to Lorne and caring mother to Wyatt Conrod (Karen Conrod) River John,
NS, Melanie Conrod (Linda Martell), Summerside, PE and Maureen Conrod, Halifax, NS. Dorothy
will be greatly missed by her grandchildren Lorne Stewart, Beaverbank, NS and Rena Tom Truro, NS.
Dorothy was pre-deceased by Gordon Jones, Wallace Jones, Elizabeth McGrath, Harold Jones, Bill
Jones, Linda O’Leary and Hilda Russel. She was survived by Roy Jones Victoria, BC, Robert(Edna)
Jones Halifax, Arthur Jones Annapolis Royal, Barbra Stark, Calgary, Alberta Sally Morash Dartmouth,
Sister-inlaw Glenna Conrad Dartmouth, and Brother in-law Wayne O’Learly.
Funeral Service will be held November 19, 2020 by invitation only at 11:00 am. at Cole Harbour Woodside United Church.
Family flowers only. All donations to be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
