Dorothy Ella (Dargie) Carty – 84, of Moschelle, passed away peacefully at home on May 12, 2020. Born in Granville Ferry, she was an only child. Dorothy was as a cook in several nursing homes in the area. She was a great cook and enjoyed cooking for family and friends. The size of gathering didn’t matter, the more the merrier and no one ever went away hungry. She was a hard worker and was very kind hearted. Dorothy loved her family. She liked all flowers but her favorite were tulips. Dorothy is survived by her children, David (Cathy), Moschelle; Freda Ann (Larry) Cress, Moschelle; Allen Dean (Angela) Carty, Alberta and Marilyn Carty, Moschelle; granddaughters, Theresa, Carrie, Emily and Keshia; great grandson, Brady; great granddaughters, Lexy and Cheavelle; great great grandsons, Samuel Scott and Nathaniel Dean. She was predeceased by her husband Seymour; daughter in infancy, Lisa May. Due to the recent outbreak of Covid-19 restrictions a private family visitation and burial will take place at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Kaulbach Family Funeral Home, Annapolis Royal. Donations in memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. Our Dear Dot … I only found out 2 hours ago this evening that you have already left this place and you are in a much happier place, spending time with Seymour, Lisa and all the people you loved … and who have loved you. You were a very beloved person and all of us who knew you, were blessed with your kindness, your very loving spirit, your beautiful smile, the love you passed on to anyone you met, and your loyalty, dedication and love to your family who God blessed you with. We never know how much time we have and I am so sorry I did not get another opportunity to visit you. I always thought I would. Your family was so blessed to have you as their wife, mother, grandmother & great grandmother. You all had a wonderful person in your life, and she was an exceptional role model who taught you how to love, be loyal, live, laugh and be a good person. I am so very sorry that I did not get another chance to spend time with your Mom, but this COVID19 had shut everything down. We can only do, whatever we can do … and I just want all of you to know that Dot was respected and loved by very many people. I see some of her in Frieda … who is also a loving and kind person … like Dot. Please give Marilyn a hug and kiss on her cheek from me. My heart aches for her! I love you all and ask God to surround you with love & comfort. From my heart to yours ….. Shirley E. Parker
