Dorothy “Dot” Grimmer
1957-2020
GRIMMER, Dorothy (Dot); (nee Kerr)
Passed away at home surrounded by the love of her family, after a
courageous battle with cancer on Monday, April 6, 2020 at the age of
62 years; It is with deep sadness that we announce the loss of an
amazing woman. A fighter, survivor and someone with so much
determination, she could move mountains. She has left behind family
and amazing friends who loved her and will miss her dearly. Her
husband and best friend Bill Grimmer, brothers Peter Kerr (Marlene)
and Sam Kerr, daughter Barbie Campbell (Mike) and step-children
Matthew Grimmer and Rebecca Russel (Currie) along with 9
grandchildren. Her grandchildren were her daily sunshine from the
moment of their birth. Mackenzie, Alexander, Brody, Nolan, Merik,
Bennett, Hope, Brooklyn and Kane; with a great-grandson recently
entering her life; Owen Samuel, named after her late father Samuel
Kerr who recently left us and has been waiting for her in heaven.
Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Dot’s life will be
announced and held at a later date. In these difficult times, please
consider offering comfort from a distance. Send a card, a simple
