Obituary for
Doreen McKillop
Doreen McKillop – Passed with peace and grace on March 24, 2020 at home with her son Dwayne at her side. Doreen was just short of her 83rd Birthday. Doreen was mother to two children Beverly (Ron) Daniels and Dwayne (Colette) McKillop, Grandmother to five; Tanner (Candice)Daniels, Tyler McKillop, Justin (Sabrina)McKillop, Natasha (Marc) Dudman and Abby McKillop. Great-Grandmother to five; Issac, Gryffin, Charlie, Amika, Hazel and Caroline.
Doreen is predeceased by her siblings, Emma Miner, Alta Kother, Eddie Frantz, Johnny Frantz, Ronnie Spink, Ray Spink, Velma Warren and Pearl Reynolds.
Doreen grew up in the Balm District, northwest of Mayerthorpe, AB and later the family moved to Seba Beach, AB. Doreen married Robert McKillop and the family moved to Grand Prairie and eventually back to Mayerthorpe. Doreen loved to play cards with her friends and family and was known to enjoy a game of Bingo or two! She will be always remembered as a loving mother and grandmother and whose greatest passion was her family. Doreen leaves us rich in memories.
A family memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers or other tributes, donations may be made to the Lac Ste Anne Foundation, Box 299,Mayerthorpe, AB T0E 1N0 or the Mayerthorpe Golf & Country Club, Box 1194, Mayerthorpe, AB T0E 1N0 (she loved working there!)
