Obituary
On April 14, 2020 Doreen Patten (nee Edwards) of Penticton, BC passed away at the age of 90 years.
She is survived by her children; Linda (Mel) Whitney, Judith (Larry) Boling and Jim (Wendy) Allan. Doreen is predeceased by her husband, Don; brother, Henry; sister, Florence; parents, Harry and Pearl Edwards.
Doreen and previous husband, Mervin Allan, had 3 children Linda, Jim and Judy.
Doreen moved to Penticton at age 15. She lived most of her life in Penticton working as a well-respected legal secretary. She also had a brief career as a real estate salesperson in Summerland. Doreen and Don subsequently moved to the Shuswap where they built a lovely home and enjoyed many happy years together, which included travelling as “Snow Birds” to Arizona each winter and square dancing.
Doreen will be lovingly remembered by all who knew her for her baking skills (notably her home-made bread and chilli) as well as knitting socks, gardening and sewing.
