At Norfolk General Hospital, Simcoe on February 6, 2020, Doreen Schaeffer in her 87th year. Wife of the late Ralph Schaeffer (December 28, 2018) for over 65 years. Dear mother of Paul Schaeffer (Laurie) and Scott Schaeffer (Debbie). Cherished grandmother of Julia Matthews (Trevor), Caroline Jager (Jonathon), Erin Jacobs (Paul) and Carrie Stewart (Brad Suchecki). Great grandmother of William and Clare Jacobs, Lilliana, Kaitlyn, Alexander Matthews, Edward and Grace Jager and Max Suchecki. She is survived by brothers Ken and Leroy Dettman and predeceased by two sisters. Doreen was a long time member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church. Friends are invited to call at THE FERRIS FUNERAL HOME, 214 Norfolk St., S., Simcoe on Monday from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Service will be held at ST. PETER’S LUTHERAN CHURCH, 155 Colborne St., N., Simcoe on Tuesday, February 11, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. Rev. Dan Abraham officiating. Interment Oakwood Cemetery.
