Obituary
Shirley Doreen “Doe” Strong, beloved wife to Patrick, for over 59 years, passed away peacefully in Chilliwack, BC on February 29, 2020 at the age of 81 years. Doe will be lovingly remembered by Evan, Angela, Charmaine, Sullivan, Camille, and by many other relatives and friends.
Doe was born in Rose Valley, Saskatchewan, and spent most of her life in Calgary. She was a quiet woman of great faith, and a member of St. Luke’s and St. Peter’s Catholic Churches while living in Calgary. Doe and Pat retired to BC in the late 90’s and had lived in Chilliwack for the last several years, where she enjoyed volunteering at St. Mary’s Church with Mother Teresa’s Place. Doe and Pat would have celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on September 3rd of this year.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary’s Catholic Church (8909 Mary Street, Chilliwack, BC) on Saturday, March 7, 2020 at 11:00am.
A Celebration of Doe’s life, and graveside service will also be held in Calgary, with details to follow.
