Don Yuill 1932 2020

Obituary of Don Yuill
February 2nd, 1932 – July 29th, 2020
Don passed away peacefully at Kootenay Street Village, in Cranbrook, B.C., at the age of 88.
He was born and raised in Kimberley, B.C. In later years Don got a steel fabricating apprenticeship with Cominco, working for them for almost 40 years, as a steel fabricator then shop boss. He was a member of the Kimberley Lions club, Ski Club and Golf Club. In retirement, he and wife Beverley, enjoyed 10 wonderful winters in Scottsdale, Arizona, where they hiked, biked, golfed and played tennis. After Arizona, they travelled on many cruises. Recently, Don and Bev celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary.
Don will be sadly missed by his wife Bev and their sons Deryk (his wife Sara and daughter Emily), and Scott (his wife Donna, son Christopher and daughter Kelly), and brother Harvey (and his wife Pearl).
The family would like to thank the staff in palliative care at Kootenay Street Village and Dr. Kevin McIver for his excellent care for many years and especially during Don’s final days.
There will be a private family gathering at a later date.
