Obituary of Donna Vock
Donna Ann Vock (nee Threlfall) born November 10, 1936, died peacefully at her home in Owen Sound. Donna was the devoted and cherished wife and life partner of Helmut Joseph Vock for 43 years.
Donna leaves behind 4 children Paul (Nancy), Dayna (Steve), Heidi (Timothy) and Mia (Tim), along with 8 grandchildren: Jake, Mitchell, Olivia, Julian, Simon, Kennan, Jona and Melissa.
Donna’s early life in Welland was filled with every day adventures about which she loved to reminisce. She was a natural historian and story-teller. Always keen to pass on a family lore…and able to bring herself to tears of laughter in the re-telling of a humourous incident long-passed. She spent most of her working life in Toronto and retired to Owen Sound in 2003.
Donna was a capable, organized and talented woman who could solve any problem she put her mind to. She built a cottage, and renovated several homes. She was an avid seamstress and knitter, painter and wonderful cook and baker. She enjoyed travel, but even more, she enjoyed helping people and was tireless in her efforts to aid any neighbour in need.
In her honour we are inaugurating the Donna Vock Memorial Bursary to be given to a nursing student attending college. In lieu of flowers, please contact Heidi Tones, her daughter, at smith.tones@gmail.com, to donate to the bursary. A memorial service will be held in June 2021.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Donna
