Donna Attridge 2020

Donna Joy Attridge (nee Happy) of Tillsonburg, formerly of Stratford, passed away on June 6th 2020, surrounded by her loving family, after a brave battle with cancer. Born in Goderich, daughter of the late Mabel and Joseph Happy. Donna is survived by her loving husband Michael of 44 years, her son Sean and his wife Erin, grandsons Flynn and Rory of Tillsonburg, her brother Garry Happy, and sister Sherry LeSouder of Stratford, her mother-in-law Shirley Attridge, sisters-in-law Dianne (Jim) Ward, Jan (Gary) Barker, brothers-in-law Rick (Kim) Attridge, and Ted Attridge. Loved and missed by her many nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides her parents, Donna was predeceased by her father-in-law Bill Attridge. Donna will be remembered for her love and compassion for all animals, but wildlife held an important place in her heart. For the past 17 years she dedicated her life to wildlife rescue and rehabilitation for injured and orphaned wildlife. She established her own foster home for wildlife in Tillsonburg, and volunteered with Another Chance Wildlife Rehabilitation in St. Thomas until her retirement in October of 2019. The family wishes to thank Dr. J. Cluett, London Health Sciences Centre, Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital, Care Partners, and her many supportive neighbours and friends. At Donna’s request, cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to Another Chance Wildlife Rehabilitation (Charitable Registration #811059641RR0001) or a charity of your choice through the W.G. Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron Street, Stratford. 519.271.7411. www.wgyoungfuneralhome.com
