Obituary of Donald Ivon Brown
It is with sadness we wish to announce that Donald Ivon Brown died peacefully on May 13, 2020, in Ottawa, Ontario. His passing was due to COVID-19 complications at the age of 77.
Don is survived by his children Kelly (Mark), Tracey (Dan), Ivan, grandchildren Michelle (Aaron), Mitchell (Michelle), Griffin, Cayden, great-grandchild Jackson and brother David. He is predeceased by his parents Ivan and Justine (nee Pleau), and brother Gary.
With a long career at Cabano-Kingsway Transport, Don was a proud member of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters and often travelled throughout North America. With a wry sense of humour he lived life on his own terms and to the fullest. Many thanks to long time good friend, Ray Donovan. Due to the current gathering restrictions, no memorial is scheduled at this time. The family will hold a private burial at St. Philips Roman Catholic Cemetery in Richmond.
Deepest thanks to the caring and compassionate doctors and nurses at the Montfort Hospital who took extraordinary measures to provide comfort to both Don and his family.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Diabetes Canada.
