Obituary of Donald Edward Bonner
Passed away with his loving wife of 58 years by his side on Tuesday, March 24, 2020 at the Kingston Health Sciences Centre in his 84th year. Son of the late Edward and Madeline (nee Cota) Bonner. Loving husband of Margaret Bonner (nee Maracle). Cherished dad of Brennan, Vanessa (Steve) and Colin (Joanne) all of Tyendinaga Territory. Treasured Grandpa of Stephanie Dorian (Bradyen), Poppa of Bradley, Melanie, Wesley, Brie and Jack. He is survived by his sister Shirley Bonner of Napanee, sister-in-law Millie Bonner of Orilla, Donna Bonner of B.C., Carol Anne, Pamela Deltor (Bob) and brother-in-law of Darrel. Predeceased by his sister Susan Miller (John), brothers Doug and William `Bill` and his brother-in-law Patrick Maracle. Don will always be remembered by his many nieces, nephews, friends and relatives Aunt Belle of Gananoque, Marguerite of Kingston and Uncle Bernie of Sydenham. Don was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers for 59 years a member of the Department of National Defence for 22 years and he worked doing what he loved as an Electrician, Construction and Maintenance. Don was also a member of the Victoria Lodge #299 and an Associate Member of the Deseronto Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 280. In following with the families wishes cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. For those who wish, memorial donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, Canadian Lung Association or the Parish of Tyendinaga (All Saints Church) in memory of Don.

  1. I just found his family tree that gives my family. This is so sad. My Grandmother was Anna May Hill. Her father and mother was George Hill and Edith Edna Bannister. I will give my prayers up to the creator. To his family our sincere condolences , I will pray for you all.
