1941-2020
The family announces with great sorrow his death at the Timmins and District Hospital on Tuesday, February 18, 2020 at the age of 78 years. Husband of Laurianne Dewsbury (nee Veillette) of Timmins. Dear father of Brigitte Steigmeier (Fritz) of Stratford and Davis Dewsbury (Mackenzie) of Timmins. Loving grandfather of Ronan, Harlow, Jordan and Paige and great grandfather of Beau, Ben, Max and Quinn. Predeceased by his parents Herbert and Verna Dewsbury. Many will remember Don as a broadcaster for MCTV and as a councilor for the City of Timmins. His greatest loves where first, his family and then his community where he sat on numerous boards. Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation or funeral. Remembrance donations to the Timmins and District Hospital Foundation would be greatly appreciated. The funeral arrangements are entrusted with the MIRON-WILSON FUNERAL HOME, CREMATION AND RECEPTION CENTRE 150 Balsam St. S. Timmins.
