Obituary of Donald Alexander Noel
The death of Donald Alexander Noel of Quispamsis, NB, husband of the late Audrey (Williamson) Noel occurred on Monday, February 10, 2020 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born at Verdun, QC, on January 22, 1930, Don was a son of the late Alex and Winnifred (Smith) Noel.
Don was the Vice President of Sales for Eastern Bakeries for many years before his retirement. He was past president of Simonds Minor Hockey Association, Atlantic Provinces Baker’s Association, Saint John Executive Club, Hampton Curling Club and Rothesay Kings Rotary Club. He was also an active member of the Saint John PROBUS club and of the Atlantic Chapter of the Packaging Association of Canada.
Don is survived by his children, Richard (Tammy) of Surrey, BC and Sandra MacDonald (Duncan) of Ottawa, ON; sister, Winnifred Butterfield (Jack) of Vancouver; grandchildren, Maddison, Alex and Mitchell MacDonald; special friend, Velma Winsor of Saint John; as well as several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his wife and parents, Don was predeceased by his brother, Frederick Noel.
Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (634-7424). Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, February 20, 2020 at12:00 pm from Brenan’s Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will take place at Erb’s Cove Baptist Church Cemetery at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
