Donald (Don) Lorne Billau
1944 – 2020
“A Life Well-lived”
It is with regret that we announce the passing of Donald Lorne Billau on March 24, 2020 at The Oxford Senior Living & Care Facility in Abbotsford, BC. Don was born in Wayne, Alberta on May 1st, 1944. He cherished the memories of his formative years growing up in the Drumheller Valley. As an adult, his strong work ethic and leadership skills resulted in a successful career in the Food Processing Industry. Work-related transfers allowed his family the opportunity to experience living in several locations throughout Canada. He will be remembered for his humour and generosity of heart, his “everyman” larger than life personality, his versatility in all endeavours, and the hundreds of colourful flowers blooming in his garden. He loved watching the Toronto Raptors, all sports and nature; golfing, and betting on the horses. Don was predeceased by his brothers, Ronald and George and his beloved wife of 54 years, Margaret. He is survived by his son, Trevor (Michelle), daughter Tammy, grandchildren Stacy and Matthew, brother Arthur, and many nieces and nephews.
No service by request. If so desired, a donation to the SPCA on Don’s behalf would be appreciated.
