Donald LeBlanc
1934 ~ 2020
Shediac River, – Donald LeBlanc, 86, passed away peacefully at the
Villa Providence in Shediac on Monday, September 21st, 2020.
Born in Petit-Cap, NB, he was the only son of the late Adolphe and the late Ada LeBlanc (born Arsenault).
Donald was a fisherman and a welder by trade. He was a hard worker all his life and was always ready to help everyone in need. He was a man with a big heart, very devoted and generous to his family and friends. He greeted his acquaintances with a warm smile and often in a teasing way. The staff of the Villa knew him as a quiet and loving person.
He loved to play hockey, starting to play at a very young age and played until he was 73. He also loved to attend the Wild Cats and Aigles Bleus games and always made sure he bought his season’s tickets in time.
He was a member of the Lion’s Club in Cap-Pelé, a 50 years member of UA Local Union 325, a member of the Knights of Columbus 3rd degree council no. 7535 in Grande-Digue and a member of the Grande-Digue Golden Age Club.
He was a great and wonderful husband, father and grandfather, he will dearly be missed by his loving wife, Claudette; his children, Victor (Gloria), Wendy (Richard Brine) and Linda Boudreau (Serge); his grandchildren, Amélia and Véronik (Dominic) LeBlanc, Sébastien and Alexie Boudreau; his step-children, Cathy Brydes (Gilles Richard), Danny Brydes (Susan), Janice Brydges (Nathalie); his step-grandchildren, Justin Hébert (Julie), Stéphane Hébert (Dani), Bradley Brydges, Mélanie Cormier (Aaron) and Christian Cormier; his two step-great grandchildren, Madison and Logan Hébert; also by several cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Besides his parents, Donald was predeceased by his first wife, Yvonne.
Visitations will be held at Passage Funeral Chapel in Shediac Bridge on Friday, September 25th, 2020 from 2pm until 4pm and from 7pm until 9pm. The Funeral service will be held at La Visitation RC Church at Grande-Digue on Saturday, September 26th, 2020 at 11am.
Note that there will be no visitation the day of the Funeral.
The family would like to thank the staff of the Villa Providence for all the love, care and support provided to Donald and to his family during the hardest moments.
Everyone attending the visitation and the Funeral service will be mandated to wear a face mask.
