Obituary
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Don, our funny, loving and patient Dad, Papa, Grandpa, partner and friend on October 5, 2020.
He left us while sleeping peacefully at home with Wendy close by. He was 76 years old.
Dad was the strongest person I have ever met. He wasn’t afraid of anything. He demonstrated perseverance in all things, most recently his Parkinson’s diagnosis. Although his body often wouldn’t cooperate his wit and dry humour stayed intact until the end.
He loved to play golf (badly) and watch hockey. Ice cream and cookies were his favourite treats and he always shared them with his 4 grandchildren. He never missed an edition of The National, and maybe a snooze in his favourite chair. His smile drew you in and will be dearly missed. When you needed someone to talk to he always listened and never judged.
His gentle soul will be fiercely missed by his partner Wendy Dolynuk, Son Darren (Karen) Clark, daughter Jennifer (Jim) Vermeulen, brother Lucky (Ronnie) Clark, grandchildren Ava and Lily Vermeulen and Ryan and James Clark, and many, many friends.
