Donald Vallier
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Donald “Don” Vallier surrounded by the love of his family on Wednesday, April 15th, 2020 at Health Sciences North at the age of 88.
Beloved husband of Jacqueline (née Taillefer) predeceased in 2010. Donald leaves behind his daughters, Corinne (Andre) and Micheline (Marvin). It is with sadness that we also announce the passing of his grandson, Brian Bisaillon, on April 16th, 2020. He will be lovingly remembered by his grandchildren, Angelique (Eric), Maxine (Guy) and Alexandre (Tanya) and by his two loving great-grandchildren Brooke and Emeric. Predeceased by his parents and 5 siblings.
Don was a loving father, husband and grandfather who enjoyed spending time with his family. He loved taking care of his yard, golfing, going to the casino, and loved listening to music. He was the Chief Engineer at the Nickel Refinery at INCO until his retirement.
After retirement, he and his wife Jackie enjoyed taking RV trips throughout Canada and the United States in an old camper van that was meticulously maintained like all the rest of their belongings. The family has many happy memories of enjoying summers under the sun by his pool while eating his wife’s delicious baked goods. Even though his family is grieving his loss, they all take comfort in knowing he lived a happy and full life.
Due to the current gathering restrictions, there will be no visitation or service. Cremation at the Park Lawn Crematorium, with a private graveside service at Civic Cemetery at a later date. Any donations can be made to PSC Partners Seeking a Cure Canada (https ://pscpartners.ca/35-2/;Directgifts) in memory of the disease that took his grandson’s life. Arrangements entrusted to the Jackson & Barnard Funeral Home.
