Obituary of Dolores Evelyn Barker
With heavy hearts, the family of Dolores Barker, wife of the late Ernest Barker, announce her passing on Saturday, November 7, 2020 at her residence. Born in Carleton County, NB, she was a daughter of the late Hedley and Helen Sparkes. Many people would remember Dolores from her employment for over 30 years with Woolco and Walmart Corporations.
Dolores is survived by her sons: Darcy (Tracey), Derrick (Kim), and Kevin McGivery (Gloria); daughter-in-law, Joanne Barker; sister, Connie; grandchildren: Denise, Lisa, Danni, Darcie, Katrina, Sirena, Charlotte, Katrina, Aaron, Taylor, and Destiny; many great-grandchildren; her best friend, Sharon Campbell; and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and her husband, Dolores was predeceased by her sons: David, Danny, and Vance; granddaughter, Sonja; and her siblings, Elizabeth and Wayne.
Arrangements are under the care of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424). A graveside service will take place in Ocean View Memorial Gardens on Friday, November 13, 2020 at 11 am.
