In 1955, Dolores married Sandy Rosoph – the love of her life. She proudly owned Lee & Lee Frocks, a ladies’ dress store in the Shell Tower Building, where she worked for many years. Dolores enjoyed singing her own versions of her favourite prayers and songs, she loved her friends and family and took great interest in their lives, she treated everyone with kindness and respect. Dolores will be remembered for her vibrant personality, her sense of humour, and contagious smile. She will always remain an inspiration.
Due to the pandemic, a private graveside service will be held. A private shiva will be held in North Bay. Contributions in her memory may be made to Camp Kadimah, (416) 634-3089, or the charity of your choice.
This is her favourite poem:
The day is done,
and the darkness Falls from the wings of Night,
As a feather is wafted downward
From an eagle in his flight.
I see the lights of the village
Gleam through the rain and the mist,
And a feeling of sadness comes o’er me
That my soul cannot resist:
A feeling of sadness and longing,
That is not akin to pain,
And resembles sorrow only
As the mist resembles the rain.
Come, read to me some poem,
Some simple and heartfelt lay,
That shall soothe this restless feeling,
And banish the thoughts of day.
Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Dolores Phyllis Rosoph 2020..
