Predeceased by Clara, his wife of 66 years, and his daughter-in-law, Alison. Survived by sons Ed (Alison) and Don (Gloria) and daughter Barbara Sweetnam (David), several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Dick spent most of his working life at BC Rail and retired as Mechanical Manager for the Southern Area. Over the years he was an active member of Squamish Valley Golf Club, (Pres. 1990 and 1991) Squamish Yacht Club Squamish (Treasurer for 10 years) Squamish Curling Club, Ezee Breathers Dive Club and was a Rotarian for a few years.
He spent his retirement years doing what he loved best—boating and scuba diving, diving a sport he took on at age 61 and enjoyed until he turned 80.
Due to the uncertainty of this time, commemoration may happen at a later date. In lieu of fl owers donations may be
