It is with extreme sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Diane Labine (nee Dianne Suzanne Giguere) of Toronto Ontario at Sunnybrook Hospital on February 04 2020 at 11:50pm. Mom loved her many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews. If I listed them all, it would have been a novel’s worth.
Special thanks to the medical staff Dr. Reubenfeld, surgeon Dr. Nam and the rest of the nurses at Sunnybrook Hospital ICU and Critical Care Unit for the excellent care they took of our mother. They showed us respect, compassion, and allowed Mom to leave this world on her own terms.
Cremation has taken place as per her wishes. Celebration Of Life will be held in Sudbury Ontario on June 21st from 12 Noon-5pm (location to be determined) with food provided, and desert potluck, so please bring something to share. Cash Bar. Burial will be on Tuesday June 23 at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Chelmsford Ontario, which was Diane and Maurice’s wedding anniversary. Maurice Labine was also buried on this day on June 23 1993.
