Obituary
Dennis Henry Villeneuve, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on March 6, 2020 in Christopher Lake, SK. He was born on February 19, 1972 in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan at the Holy Family Hospital. Dennis began school at St. Michaels briefly and then on to his stomping ground of East Flat, where he spent most of his years at St. Johns until he moved on to Holy Cross and finished his education at St Mary’s High School. Everyone knew of Dennis at the Rink and knew of his slap shot, it was something you stayed clear of. He played hockey for the Rangers and Accra Lock and the Deputy Pirates and was thundering on the ice. His home runs at the ball field were talked about from all the kids and how far they went. He soon after started the next part of his life with Jasmine, and was blessed with Jesse and Isabella. Sadly, he lost Kion along that road. He loved each one of those kids in a special way. In the years to follow Dennis focused on work and his chosen field, scaffolding. He then met the love of his life, his soulmate, his best friend Kim and her three girls, Brooklynn, Camryn and Jaelyn. Dennis and Kim got married on September 19, 2015. Dennis knew he had met the woman who would never leave his side and his smile was never bigger and his heart was never so full. This was a true love most people wish they could find in their lifetime and he had found it. They were always together ice fishing in the winter, hanging out at Candle Lake in the summer, fishing and golfing or just sitting by the fire, this was truly his heaven on earth. Dennis was an incredible spouse, son, father, brother, uncle, nephew and friend. He will be truly missed by all. Dennis will be lovingly remembered by: his wife, Kim; his children: Jesse, Isabella, Brooklynn, Camryn and Jaelyn; his parents: Maurice and Carol Villeneuve; his father and mother-in-law: Gary and Judy Frey; his brother: Eli Villeneuve and family, Joel, Jaden, Elissa and Marissa; niece and nephew: Fabian and Sian (Bernice’s children); sister-in-law: Kara (Fred) McKee and family, Tylar, Tyson and Nick; brothers-in-law: Jamie Frey (Chase Reed) and family, Jamieson and Lily; Chad (Crystal) Frey and family, Jaydon, Bennett and Jack; special cousin: Jason Delorme; close friends: Ryan and Teresa McDougall and family, Luke and Cole; Reme Simonson, Jason Jaman “Chico”, Melanie Beatty; as well as numerous aunties, uncles and cousins. Dennis was predeceased by his son: Kion Haugen, his sister: Bernice Villeneuve; his grandparents: Marguerite and Azaire Villeneuve and Adlore and Mabel Delorme and his niece: Wendy Villeneuve. Celebration of Life for Dennis will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Friday, March 13, 2020 at Plaza 88, 888 Central Avenue, Prince Albert, SK.
