DEVEAU, Delbé – Age 86, Au Logis d’Meteghan, Meteghan, formerly of La Butte, passed away Sunday May 31, 2020 in Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born in Saulnierville, he was a son of the late Louis à Frankie à Prospère and Estelle (Comeau) Deveau. He was a true “Clare” Acadian listening faithfully every day to Radio CIFA, a local French Acadian radio station. Delbé spent the last 5 years at Au Logis d’Meteghan where he quickly felt right at home with all the staff, whom he loved, and Tammy often spoiled him with fresh cooked deer meat and clam râpure.
He is survived by sons, Jean Louis (Esther), Alain (Suzanne), Daniel (Corinne), Julien (Star); sister, Anna (Simon) Saulnier; grandchildren, Justin, Matthieu, Adam, Ryan, Lisa, Tyler, Trysten, Riley and 8 great grandchildren.
He was predeceased by wife, Anita; brothers, Jerry, John, Raymond (Myrtle); sister, Jeanne (Bob) Roy. Arrangements have been entrusted to Meteghan Funeral Home where, due to the current provincial restrictions put in place for the Covid-19 pandemic, private visitations and funeral service will be held with private burial to follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Saulnierville. Donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
A heartfelt thank you to all the wonderful staff members who cared for Delbé during his time at Au Logis d’Meteghan.
