It’s with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Debbie Stenabaugh in her home surrounded by her family, at the age of 64 years, on November 25, 2020. She will be remembered by many in the community for her kindness and compassion in helping others, as well as her strong faith and involvement in her church. Debbie was a gifted artist who enjoyed spending time in nature, tending her gardens and taking care of animals. Her true passion, however, was her family: there was nothing she loved more than spending time with her children and her grandchildren.
She will be greatly missed by her husband, Lorne; her children: Nathan (Heidi) of Edmonton, and Sarah (Taik Kobayashi) of Vancouver; her four grandchildren: Mara, Alia, Jett, and Kita; three sisters: Judy Broadbent (Brian) of Montreal, Donna Santerre (Louis) of Petawawa and Sandra Bouchard (André) of Kapuskasing; as well as one sister-in-law: Debbie O’Rourke of Kapuskasing. She was predeceased by her parents: Newsie Elliott and Joan Elliott Séguin; her stepfather, Marcel Séguin; and one brother, Barry Elliott.
A private family gathering was held in memory of Debbie. A public celebration of her life will be held at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, donations to Animal Rescue of Kapuskasing or the Wild Horses of Alberta Society would be greatly appreciated. ©
