David Lawrence Crowe 1947 2020

Obituary of David Lawrence Crowe
Peacefully at Markham Stouffville Hospital on Saturday, November 28th, 2020 in the arms of his adoring wife, best friend and business partner; Sharon Glover. Loving father of Erin Terveld, Allison Crowe, and Lynn Glover. Cherished grandfather of Colton, Andrea, Leanna, Julia, and Jesse. Beloved great-grandfather of Sophia, Ayla, Myah, Kyrie, and Lylah. Dear brother of Peter (Maryann), Anne, and Jane. Uncle of Jessalyn, Chris, Isabella, Paul and Jillian. Brother-in-law of Debra and Peter. David enjoyed travelling, snowmobiling, boating and driving “top-down” in the love of his life, his 94 Chrysler LeBaron convertible. Organizing his Donevan High School Reunions was pure joy to him. His passion for researching, and in turn, sharing his knowledge will be missed. His many friends, some dating back to Kindergarten, will agree he loved a healthy debate and an occasional few sips of a fine Scotch. He was easily recognizable by his Blue Jays caps and Red Green suspenders and always making time to chat with everyone. David was a kind, gentle man who believed in love and laughter, truth and trust, loyalty and respect. Abiding by his wishes, cremation has taken place and we will hold a Celebration of Life in his honour on a hot summer day, by the water, post COVID. In memory of David, donations made to the Georgina Food Pantry would be appreciated. Arrangements entrusted to M.W. Becker Funeral Home. Sign an online book of condolences at mwbeckerfuneralhome.com

  1. Dear Sharon and all the loved ones,

David was a wonderful guy and I can imagine how much you will all miss him. As you know, David was the heart and soul … and glue of our Oshawa elementary and high school cohort.

Just give us a shout for the celebration and we will be there. And STAY WELL. Love, Daphne
