Obituary of David Frances John
January 4, 1945 – November 3, 2020
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of David Frances John, husband of Elva, his loving wife of 55 plus years, father of Jenny (Dave), Geri (Chris) and Mike (Jenny), brother of Francine and grandfather of Logan, Erin, Travis, Ashley and Colby.
Dave had a passion for hunting and fishing, a general love of the outdoors. He was a member of the B.C Wildlife Federation, the Royal Canadian Legion and a founding member of the Tahsis Rod and Gun Club. Dave served in the Canadian Navy as did his father. In later years he was a Commissioner with the RCMP, working as a jail guard in Tahsis and later in Hope, a position he was proud of. His humour and wit will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Rest in Peace Dave, Dad, Grandpa, we love you and miss you. Sending you off with tears in our eyes, love in our hearts and gratitude for having you in our lives.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Dave’s honour may be made to the B.C Cancer Foundation. www.bccancer.bc.ca/donate
