Obituary of David Donald Lavigne
Lavigne, David D. – With heartfelt sadness, the family of David Donald Lavigne of Picadilly announce his passing, which occurred on Saturday, February 22, 2020 at the Sus Health Centre. David was born in Montreal, a son of the late Ronald and Gloria (McGee) Lavigne, and step-father, Charles Edward Winter, as his father died when he was very young. David spent his youth in Montreal, before moving to Nova Scotia and subsequently settling in the Sus area. Known as “Pooh-Bear” to his family, (a nickname his mother gave him), David was a “McGyver” type person who could fix almost anything with a paper clip and a piece of string. He loved tinkering, especially with old cars. He also played the guitar and sang.
David is survived by his wife, Patricia Lavigne; his siblings Ronnie Lavigne (Kim) of Spryfield, NS, Gary Lavigne (Pauline) of Montreal, Brian Lavigne of Montreal, Jimmy Lavigne (Heather) of Montreal, Phillip Lavigne (Andrea) of Montreal, Darlene Bull (Tim) of Enfield, NS, Donna Lavigne (Greg) of Lower Sackville, NS, Shirley Morrison (Jimmy) of Sackville, NS, Michael Lavigne (Sharon) of Montreal, and Tracy Norris (Robert) of Picadilly; and several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather at Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sus, for a time of visitation on Tuesday, February 25, 2020 from 11am to 1 pm, followed by a Celebration of Life service at 1:00 PM from Wallace Memorial Chapel.
For those who wish, remembrances to the Canadian Diabetes Association or to any charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of David
