Obituary of David Byron Burns
Burns, David Byron- 67, Sheet Harbour, passed away peacefully at Eastern Shore Memorial Hospital with loving family by his side on November 23, 2020. Born December 20, 1952 to the late William Stanley Burns and Shirley Marguerite Turner (Naugle, Burns) and his late stepfather Elvin Turner of Marie Joseph. Dave had several jobs over the years, the most noted being 27 years at Howard Turner and Sons fish plant in Marie Joseph and worked alongside his wife for 21 of those years. He was an avid hunter all his life, he really enjoyed the camping and hunting trips and a good game of cards, especially crib with Denise who were always together in everything they did. He enjoyed spending time at the campground with the camping family. David is survived by his loving wife Denise Burns (Jewers), daughter Kelly Burns, grandson Hayden, granddaughter Hillary, sisters Marlyn Burns, Linda (Dale) Beaver, Barbara (John), Charlene Martin (Turner), brothers Robert Burns, Randy (Amanda) Turner, sisters in law Darlene (Jack), Lisa (Gerry), brothers in law Dennis (Paula), Randy Fleet and their families, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. Dave is predeceased by his brothers Gary and Eugene. Special thanks to Dr. MacDonald, nurses and staff at ESM Hospital for their excellent care. Due to COVID-19 restrictions a celebration of life will be held at a later date. Donations can be made to Hope for Wildlife or the Canadian Cancer Society.
