David W Murray 19562020

David W. Murray
1956-2020
David William Murray, 64, of Dawson Settlement, NB passed
away on September 1, 2020 at home after a brief illness. He was born
on May 21, 1956, and was the son of Marion and Kenneth Murray of
Shediac Road.
David was a kind person who would go out of his way to help
anyone in need, and could solve any problem he set his mind
to.
Beginning part time in high school, Dave worked at Maritime
Farm Supply for more than 30 years. Since then, he went on to be a
jack of all trades and a valued employee to many, more recently with
Tri-Province and MRM Construction.
Every summer – almost without fail – for more than 2 decades,
he attended the N.B.A.A.C. Flea Market in Sus. He never sold much,
but always came home with renewed friendships and great stories
– buying a lot more than he ever sold.
He came across his little piece of Paradise one day while
ski-dooing with a dear friend more than 25 years ago in Little River.
He watched his children and grandchildren grow there, and the land
will be his final resting place so he can continue to look after those
he loves.
He is survived by 3 children: Dale (Ayako) Kenny of
Fredericton, Shawn LeBlanc (Laurie) of Dawson Settlement and Stacey
(Joe) Foster of Bedford, NS. Also survived by sisters Betty (Ron)
Callaghan, Sherwood, PEI, Sharon (Charlie) Connors of Scoudouc Road,
and brothers Brian (Edie) of Granville Ferry, NS, Rae of Dawson
Settlement, Carl (Marilyn) of Dawson Settlement and his twin Doug
(Vicki) of Dartmouth, NS. He is also survived by his dearly loved
grandchildren Sho Kenny, Cassidy and Kennedy Burrell and Charlotte,
Joshua and Silas Foster.
He was predeceased by his commonlaw spouse Lorraine LeBlanc
(2010), a sister Jean Cormier (2016) and a brother Jim Murray
(2016).
Known to many, and loved by more, Davey lived life to the
fullest, without apology, and played hard. He will be greatly missed
by the lives he’s touched.
David’s arrangements have been entrusted to
Cobb’s Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine
Road, Riverview (869-2007). A celebration of his life will
take place at his home on Saturday, September 12, 2020.
Donations made to his family would be greatly appreciated.
