David’s Obituary
The George family has lost their hero, David Garfield George, 89 of McIvers passed peacefully away on Tuesday, July 21, 2020, at the Western Long Term Care. His beloved wife, Cora of 65 years passed on May 11, 2020, and they are now together again. Leaving to mourn are his children: David (Dallas), Diane Banks (John) and Lori, Grandchildren Sheena (Dan Hlavca), Stephanie (Robert Jeffrey), Annette (Andre Charlebois), David (Jennifer), Lindsi, Sarah and Aaron. Great-grandchildren David, Jenny, Dawson, and Eleanor; sisters: Emma (Eric Lovell), Gloria (Benny Wells), brothers: Foster (Pauline), Raymond (Millie) and sister in law Marie Rolls, brother in law Arch Legge, and a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends. He was predeceased by his parents Silas and Jenny George, parents in law: Harold & May Rolls, sisters: Millie (Ben Park), Alfreda Park, Lillian (Jim Matthews); brother: Ronald George; sister in law Mary Legge, brothers in law: Thomas Rolls and Lloyd Rolls. At David’s request, cremation has taken place. Due to COVID 19 restrictions, there will be a private family service and interment at a later date for David and his beloved wife Cora. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Epiphany Anglican Church McIvers or a charity of one’s choice.
