1944-2020
It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of
David Earl Brooks, age 76, of Springhill.
David passed away at White Birches, Amherst on Thursday,
October 22, 2020.
Born in Sackville, NB, he was a son of the late John and
Hilda (Hicks) Brooks.
David spent his early years in Dorchester, NB and moved to
Springhill, NS in 1960 where he lived for more than 40 years. For the
last eight years he made his home at White Birches Retirement
Home.
David will be sadly missed by his brother Victor (Bette) of
Mississauga; sister Brenda (Rick) Toupin of Chignecto, Joan (Frank)
Allen of Chignecto, Faye of Amherst; sister in-law Fay and
Betty.
Besides his parents he was predeceased by borthers Eric and
Alan.
Special thanks to the staff of White Birches for their care,
compassion, respect and acceptance of David, especially over these
past months.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of
W. Allen Funeral Home, 60 Water Street,
Oxford, Nova Scotia (902-447-2167). Cremation has taken place. A
graveside service will take place at a later date.
Donations in David’s memory can be made to the G.O.V.R.C,
Cancer Society or charity of choice.
