David Allen Krause 2020

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of David Krause, loving father, son, brother, uncle and friend. David was born on August 13, 1969 and passed away on October 15, 2020.
Some of David’s favourite pastimes were playing and watching hockey and baseball, boating and waterskiing in Sicamous, and golf, especially playing in the Wyder Cup, a just-for-fun golf tournament with some of his closest friends.
Above all, David loved to watch and support his daughter McKinley in whatever activities she was involved in, from dance to trampolining, wall climbing, skating and gymnastics. He was her biggest fan; she filled his heart.
David is survived by the light of his life, his daughter Mckinley and her loving mother Mianne Krause. He is also survived by his father, Alvin Krause and his loving friend Karin Schmidt; brother, Mike and his wife Shannon, their children Justin, Jordan and Megan; sister Lisa and her son William; biological mother Jackie Lewis and her husband Dave Sellwood; step brother Dave Sellwood; biological father Terry Smith; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, family and friends.
David was predeceased by his: mother Elsie Krause; grandparents Harry (Mary) Wolfe; Joe (Sarah) Krause; and John (Doris) Lewis.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to his daughter and supporting mom for financial assistance. Mianne & Mckinley Krause, 40 Franklin Drive SE, Calgary, AB T2H 0T9 or etransfer to miannebelanger@gmail.com
A Private Graveside Service and interment of ashes at Rosthern Cemetery will be held at a later date. Arrangements are entrusted to Funk’s Funeral Home, Rosthern, SK. www.funksfuneralhome.ca.
